I was about halfway through the book when my cousin Cheryl, of Two Sides of the Ocean, wrote and asked if I'd read it yet. She'd also picked it up after Jasia's review and had just finished it. She's not the only one, either--the book is enjoying a good deal of attention among other geneabloggers too.
I don't know why I forgot to pull quotes from the book as I read. I usually notice a good observation when I read it, and I write it down either on a tiny scrap of paper which will then float around among the papers on my desk for years to come, or if I'm anywhere near the computer, I type it into Notepad with the appropriate citation details. But I didn't think to do that this time.
I often find myself in need of quotations pertaining to family history and genealogy. Luckily, Nancy pulled some excellent Luxenberg quotes at My Ancestors and Me. I get by with a little help from my friends!

T.K., I'm a little late in replies, and this pertains to your May accomplishments. Good for you, and a blog a day, wow. Regarding your Blurb, I think I will use that once I get a lot of quotes together. I went nuts trying to locate mine, they are on hundreds of little pieces of paper. Thanks, you drove me nuts! I might do a blog about them too, if that is ok, and if I remember and if I can find them!
T.K., thanks for sending folks my way. I have a few more quotes on my blog (nancysfamilyhistoryblog.blogspot.com), posted here and there among other posts. If you check out "quotes" in the label section, you should be able to find them.
Sometimes quotes are so inspirational, sometimes thoughtful, sometimes insightful. I usually keep a post-it on the back of my bookmark so I can jot down the page and paragraph #. Then I don't have to interrupt my reading. Do you have other comments on your blog? I'll have to look around....

Good luck finding your bits of paper, Barbara... and good luck to me finding mine! LOL! After I posted this, I thought to google "genealogy quotes" and found quite a number of listings. Yep, it's a slippery slope... ;-)
Nancy, I assume you meant do I have other quotes on my blog? One of my all-time faves is from Proust, although not exactly genealogy per se... see Proust and My Great-Grandfather.
