Before My Time is about the ancestry and extended family of my four grandparents: John Samuel Krentz (Indiana/North Dakota), Margreta Tjode Hedwig (Gertie) Buss (North Dakota), Rosmer Pettis Kerr (Pennsylvania/Michigan), and Evelyn Elvina Hauer (Michigan). Archives, Labels (tags), and other links appear at the bottom of the page.

Cousins in Cyberspace

ALVORD-VOAR: Barbara Poole, of Life From The Roots, is an Alvord descendant. Our closest common ancestors are Alexander Alvord and his wife, Mary Voar.

BRONSON: Becky Wiseman, of Kinexxions, is an eleventh great-granddaughter of John Bronson. I think that makes us ninth cousins, twice removed.

COOKE-HOPKINS: Kathy, of I Will Remember, is a fellow descendant of Josiah Cooke and Deborah Hopkins. That means we also share the DURANT, RING, and WHELDEN surnames.

CRANDALL-BURDICK: Thomas MacEntee, of Destination: Austin Family and GeneaBloggers, shares the Crandall and Burdick surnames with me, although I'm not sure exactly what our relationship is.

HOPKINS (Mayflower):  Wendy Hawksley, of New England Genealogy, is a fellow descendant of Stephen Hopkins who came on the Mayflower. So is Cathy (PalmsRV), whose blogs include Cameron Collections and Richmonds & Connected Lineages. Bill West, of West in New England, is a tenth great-grandson of Stephen Hopkins and his second wife, Elizabeth Fisher.

HOPKINS-BRONSON: Julie Cahill Tarr, of GenBlog, is a descendant of my other Hopkins line. Our closest common ancestors are Stephen Hopkins and Dorcas Bronson.

HUBBARD-COOPER: Travis LeMaster, of TJL Genes: Preserving Our Family History, is twice a descendant of Samuel Hubbard and Tacy Cooper, through daughters Ruth and her husband Robert BURDICK (whom we share) and Bethiah. We share the CRANDALL surname also.

LOOMIS: Heather Wilkinson Rojo, of Nutfield Genealogy, is a Loomis descendant. Our closest common ancestor is Joseph Loomis.
Barbara Poole, of Life From The Roots, is Joseph's tenth great-granddaughter, so she is my ninth cousin, once removed.

SCHULTE-TOBIAN: Cheryl Schulte, of Two Sides of the Ocean, is my third cousin. Our closest common ancestors are Joseph Meyer Schulte and his wife, Alvina Tobian.

SEDGWICK-HIGGINS: Dennis Sedgwick, of Sedgwick.org, is my fifth cousin, once removed. Although his site is not a weblog, I include it here anyway to make note of how we are related. Besides, even though Sedgwick.org is not a blog, you will never run out of stuff to see there. You can't see it all in one day.  It's huge!

STRONG: Miriam Robbins Midkiff, of Ancestories: The Stories of My Ancestors, figured out that as descendants of Elder John Strong, she and I are tenth cousins, twice removed.
Barbara Poole, of Life From The Roots, is our Strong cousin too.

ROOT: Miriam Robbins Midkiff, of Ancestories: The Stories of My Ancestors, is also a Roote descendant. Our common ancestor in that line is Thomas Roote (1).

Fellow genealogy bloggers, check out my Surnames page. If you find that we have a surname in common, please click on it to see what my lineage in that surname is. If we have a common ancestor, I'll be happy to add a link to your blog here. You can email me via my Contact page. Just let me know the name of our closest common ancestor and how you are related to that person. Don't forget to include a link to your blog!
